4"A" vs 4"B"

When talking about children we immediately think about noise, great energy, jokes, smiles, problems, etcetera. In primary schools we can find different types of children because of their personalities and knowledge. Since I am an English teacher in a primary school I have different groups, but groups of fourth year are the groups that I pay special attention to because of the differences they have taking into consideration the noise they make, knowledge and the way they get along.

Noise is part of the children’s nature; they enjoy playing and having fun all the time and it is a big difference between the two groups. Group “A” is an excellent group because they like to learn English and they love being interacting all the time; this group is not noisy because they pay attention to all the explanations and activities. On the other hand, group “B” is very noisy because they just want to be playing all the time; this group does not like to carry out the activities that I have for them.

Another difference between these groups is knowledge. As I said before group “A” is a group which likes English, this group is very good talking about knowledge, because they want to learn the language. When I am explaining something they pay a lot of attention. They are asking me all the time when they have doubts or when they want to know something else.  On the contrary, group “B” is a little bit lazy because they do not like to pay attention to the classes, they just want to be coloring or playing, they are talking all the time and they want to go to the bathroom all the time, so this group sometimes has problems with the language.

The way students get along is a big difference between the two groups. Group “A” is a very united group because they enjoy working in teams. When I give them an assignment in groups they immediately get together in teams and carry out the activity. Also, they help each other when they have problems with the activities or with the explanations. On the other side, group “B” is not a united group because they do not like to work together because they are fighting to be the best student in the class, for this reason they do not help each other when they have difficulties with the explanations and activities.

For those aspects the two groups of fourth grade are very different. The noise they make, the knowledge they have and the way they get along make a big difference between group “A” and group “B”. Group “A” is an excellent group because they are interested in the language and they want to learn it. It is very difficult to work with children and you will find different groups and children, but anyway you will always have a good group which makes you feel proud of.

Hard Reality

The “1973” documentary shows the lives of three different people who were born in Mexico City in that year. This film depicts how the government, drugs, alcohol, lack of attention, and family problems forced them to make wrong decisions and the way they had to face the consequences of those.

In the documentary Antonino Isordia wanted the characters to talk about the aspects and details which were part of their cruel lives. Rodolfo as part of a group called “Los Porros”, Maria Fernanda who was involved with drugs and alcohol and Alejandro Cota who had problems in his family.

The film won the JVC award for the best director in the 20^th International Film’s Festival in Guadalajara and was exhibited in the 9^th International Film’s Festival in Puerto Vallarta.

This documentary is excellent for adolescents and adults because it shows in a hard way the reality that many people lives; it also shows how decisions change our life in a minute taking us to serious consequences.

Adoption by Gay Couples

Most orphan children are waiting for the perfect family: a mother and a father. This is the excellent model of family in all the cultures and those orphan children want to have one. It is common to listen to some couples, which are not are able to conceive because of different problems, to talk about adoption; but what about homosexual couples which want to adopt a child? Authorities should take into consideration many aspects at the moment of giving in adoption a child to homosexual couples such as the social environment and the possible child’s behavior.

One of the reasons why the homosexual adoption should be banned is because of the child’s social environment. Acoording to the American Academy of Pediatrics in William Saletan "Adopting Premises" (2002) argues that "Prevalent heterosexism and stigmatization might lead to teasing and embarrassment for children about their parent's sexual orientation or their family constellation and restrict their ability to form and maintain friendships," Then, Children are most likely to be bothered by their friends, classmates and neighbors, so if a child has homosexual parents it is going to be vey difficult for him/her to deal with this because s/he will be exposed to gibes; that is, because the child does not have heterosexual parents and s/he just has two fathers or two mothers who are married. The laughs and questions about his/her parents will be around annoying him/her. Then, the child needs a normal family in order to grow up in a healthy environment.

            Another reason is the possible child’s behavior. As we saw before the best environment for the children is a household with both a mother and a father. On the other hand, a homosexual surrounding can model homosexual behavior; acoording to Ken Connor president of the family Research Council in William Saletan "Adopting Premises" (2002) says that "sexual identity confusion is common among children raised by gay parents" and that "children of lesbians are less likely to fit traditional gender roles." Therefore, it is better for the child to have heterosexual parents in order to develop a good behavior.

            Some homosexual couples might disagree and say that a child raised by them can have more love and be healthier than a child who is raised by heterosexual parents. According to Ken Connor, president of the Family Research Council in William Saletan "Adopting premises", (2002) "gays shouldn't be allowed to raise kids—as they have in the studies reported so far—because "children are not guinea pigs and should not be used as pawns in some grand social experiment."
So, most homosexual marriages just want to adopt a child because they want to imitate the model of family but they are not taking into consideration the problems they will cause to the children they want to adopt. Then, homosexual couples are not able to give a healthy environment to the orphan children.

As a conclusion, the adoption by gay people should be banned because of the social environment the child will have and the child’s behavior. The perfect family orphan children want to have is composed by a father, a mother and children where they can find a model of a mother and a father which can help them to grow up in a healthy environment without problems, but homosexual parents does not care about this, they only want to copy a family model which is not possible because children will not find that model and they just will get confused and they will have many problems within the society. So, the authorities must take into consideration all these aspects at the moment of giving in adoption a child to homosexual parents.

"Pozole Verde"

When someone tastes a Mexican dish s/he can feel how the flavor of this gives him/her the most delicious sensation s/he has ever had. In Aguascalientes there is a great variety of typical dishes such as Mole, Barbacoa, Tacos, etcetera that people can find in this place. “Pozole Verde” is one of the tastiest dishes in Aguascalientes because of its flavor and ingredients.

Pozole Verde as I said before is one of the most delicious dishes we have in Aguascalientes. The mix of the green lettuce, green chili, pork, white corn and spices give that special smell to this dish when it is being cooked. When someone is cooking “Pozole Verde” s/he can see how the consistency and flavor are the characteristics which make this typical serving from Aguascalientes special. Therefore, the ingredients of the “Pozole Verde” give that wonderful flavor that we enjoy a lot.

When serving “Pozole Verde” you can see how the steam of this dish arrives to your nose giving you that tasty spicy flavor which invites you to savor it immediately. You have to add radish, chopped onion and lemon to make it more delicious. It also has to be accompanied with “Tostadas” and a good drinking such as a cold soda. Now, you can experience the most delicious sensation in your mouth. So, when you eat “Pozole Verde” you will say there is not another dish tastier than this.

“Pozole Verde” is normally eaten in winter because it is a hot dish. Most of the people here in Aguascalientes enjoy eating it in this season because there is nothing more delicious than to savor a dish of “Pozole Verde” in the morning when the weather is cold and you just want to eat something hot to keep warm. So, you can notice how excellent it is to taste this delicious dish in winter. But anyway you can eat it any time and enjoy it at any place.

As a conclusion, “Pozole Verde” is very delicious because of its ingredients and flavor. People enjoy eating this serving at any time, they like to tasty it in the morning, afternoon or at night because of its exquisite tasty. Thus, you can realize that “Pozole Verde” is the one of the most delicious dishes that people love to eat and that you can find and enjoy when you come to visit Aguascalientes.   

My Evolution in Electronic Literacy

Electronic literacy has been one of the most important issues in the last decades and it has become an essential tool for many people. At the moment of using electronic tools I can say they are important because I as an English teacher in training they give me different ways of improving my second language or they can help me to find information when researching. Then, the way how I started using electronics tools, how they have improved my L2 and how they are important when I am doing educational or professional research are the main topics in this essay.

Electronic tools were something new when I started my major. They were totally new for me because I had not had any contact with them, but when I started to study in the university I had to begin using them because of homework, assignments, research, etc. Therefore, I created my electronic mail in order to send homework, to receive documents, etc. Then, I created blogs, social networks to share information, to have fun and so on. So, it was the way I started using electronic tools.

 As I started using electronic tools, I began to take advantage of them because I wanted to improve my L2. Nowadays, when I want to improve my English skills I just look for some web pages that can help me to understand some grammar or writing rules. For example when I was in propaedeutic course my listening and speaking teacher established a program with a school from the U.S. and it helped me to improve my listening and speaking skills and I knew a little bit about the English culture. Therefore, electronic tools have been an important factor in the improvement of my L2.

Electronic tools are very important at the moment of doing educational or professional research.  They are useful to find papers from different authors so at the moment of doing researches I can find opinions from diverse compositions that can help me to create my own. So, as a future teacher of a second language I will need to find helpful strategies or techniques in order to help to improve the teaching of a second language, therefore electronic tools can be useful to research about this topic. Then, educational and professional research is easier when electronic tools are used.

 As a conclusion, electronic tools have been important for me in many aspects because through them I can improve my language and to do professional or educational research. The contact with electronic tools has helped me to have fun, share ideas and opinions, and to learn many things from other people. So, my evolution in electronic literacy has been very important because to be in contact with electronic tools has given me the opportunity to do better things.

"Me"

How am I like? Few people really know me very well; they know everything that characterizes me, and they can mention many aspects related to me. But there are some people who do not know me very well; they just know me because they see me everyday or because they have talked to me twice or three times. So, I want those people to know some details about me such as my personality, likes and dislikes.


My personality is one of the points I want people to know. I can define myself as a patient person because I like to listen to other people when they are in trouble or when they need advice; I am there to help them all the time. Also, I can say that I am a friendly person. I enjoy giving my love to others, sharing my experiences and funny moments with them.

Another thing that I would like people to know about me is about what I like. One of the many things I love is music, because it is a good way of relaxing when I am stressed. I listen to music and try to forget everything. I also like basketball. It is my favorite sport because it allows the team work in order to get an objective which is to win. Those are the two things that I really love doing.

As the rest of people, there are some things I do not like. Heavy metal is a kind of music that I do not like. Some people say it is a good, but I personally think this kind of music is very noisy and that the people who sing it have mysterious lifes. Waking up early is another thing I dislike. Well, I think most of the people agree with me. I hate hear the alarm every morning to wake very early to get school on time. These are some of the things I do not like much.

As a conclusion, I am characterized by my personality, the things I like and dislike. Now, the people, who did not know many details related to me, know me better. They already know how I am like, what I like and what I do not, and they can say that I am a usual person as anybody else.
